This position is for someone who is excited to jump in and get started — a perfect “home” if you excel in a fast-paced environment. This position requires you to be a strong support person for our local restaurant group. The Ghent Eats Staff Accountant works closely with restaurant managers and owners, and is supported by an in-house CPA and a licensed accounting firm.
We are looking for a person who has basic accounting skills and experience, preferably with 3-4 years of bookkeeping experience.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining financial records.
- Maintaining payroll and interacting with the ADP Payroll system.
- Entering accounting related information into Quickbooks.
- Inputting and maintaining daily sales numbers and generating reports.
- Reconciling bank statements.
- Balancing the ledger for management reports.
- Prepare and file local and state sales and meals taxes.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Quickbooks Desktop.
- Microsoft Office.
- Google Workspace.
- Microsoft Windows.
